My journey with Arbonne began in May 2005 when my friend, now EAM Stephanie Cooper, gave me the NutriMinC® RE9® anti-aging skin care set to try. As a water aerobics instructor, I was very interested in the sunscreen and the anti-aging skin care products. After using the products, I noticed an incredible difference in the way my skin looked and felt. A couple weeks later, Stephanie set up a table at the gym where I worked and explained the products and the business to me. It was easy to tell others about something I truly believed in. In a little more than a week, I was in qualification for District Manager. I began to question whether this was something I was supposed to be doing. I did not really have time to do one more thing. So, in June 2005, I gave Arbonne up. Although I knew Arbonne was a good thing, I still did not know if it was the best thing. My husband, Ed, and I reached a point in our lives where we did not want something good to be a distraction from the best possible plan for our family.
Ed and I were planning on joining a team from our church on their mission trip. To prepare for this, we went to an overnight missions training facility in August. There, we watched a video and saw how a village in Central America went from a crime-stricken area to a working class community of farmers. Once the residents changed their focus and began working hard out in the fields, their crops became so abundant that they had to use semis to transport them. Guess what? They were white Mercedes-Benz semis! That was one of many confirmations I received that Arbonne was the best plan for our family.
I re-launched my business in August 2005. When you decide to “do” Arbonne as a business, you will be going on a journey, so you need to pack your bags. And by bags, I do not mean NutriMinC® RE9® anti-aging skin care sets. To get started, you need to bring the right attitude. This journey begins by looking deep inside and determining why you want to do something different for your family and yourself. Are you carrying things in your life that are dragging you down? This is not just about a skin care company; it is about freeing yourself from all distraction in order to be able to dream again! You will learn a lot about yourself and others on your Arbonne journey. This business will not be easy; but it will be well worth your effort.
If you want your business to succeed, do not give up. Stay connected with others who are on the same journey. Arbonne can be your vehicle to help you get to your dreams. I believe my RVP accomplishment is just a place for me to refuel and fill my tires. Remember, you are not in this alone! My team is filled with amazing men and women who have all taken turns encouraging each other. It is because of them, that I am able to write this encouraging Eye on Arbonne story for you.
To my husband, DM Ed Bamberg: There is no way I could have reached my RVP goals without you. Your encouragement, prayers and vision for God’s plan for our family kept me going. Your vision became my Why. You are a great example of doing something daily to follow your dreams. I am excited to see how God is going to use our family for His greater purpose. We have grown closer together in so many ways throughout this journey. To Cana and Noah: I love you both so much! “Just keep swimming” is something you kept singing to me during the whole month as we finished Region.
To ERVP Robin Kerr: Your leadership example has been so solid and selfless. You have truly taught us to never give up.
To my sponsor and friend, EAM Stephanie Cooper: Thank you for sticking with me when I told you in June of 2005 that I was going to quit Arbonne.
To AM Carey McDivitt: You are a wonderful friend and I am so blessed to have you on my team. The outreach this business has allowed you to have is just the beginning. The opportunity to minister to others will continue to grow.
To my mom and first business builder, AM Connie Basso: You truly have gifts and talents that are a huge asset to this business. I am so proud of you. You and dad make a great team. The sacrifices you have made and the things you both have taught me are the reasons I am where I am today. Thank you for your encouragement and endless prayers.
To AM-in-qualification Cynthia Lindstadt: You have such a sweet spirit coupled with a never-give-up attitude. Your Why will continue to move you forward. Keep climbing and I will see you at the top.
To all our District Managers, Tony Basso, Scott and Denise Schramm, Kris Howard, Michelle Gage, Margaret Mayfield, Martha Terry, Elaine Ragley, Loural Flynt, Laurie Lee, Megan Vatland, Priscilla Richardson-Hudson, Sheri Mroz, Gina Wyink, Bonni Reinertson and Karen Smith: Your journeys are just beginning. Each one of you has the potential to be an NVP as you continue to develop your leadership skills. This stage can be the hardest, so stay strong!
To our newest business builders: This is your team’s preparation stage. Pack your bags because you will be moving closer to your dreams.
To all of our Clients and Consultants: You all were a big part in helping us reach the volume we needed during the last days of June 2006, exactly one year after I committed to doing my business. Thank you so much.
I want to thank God for allowing me to help others. I would love for everyone who reads my Eye on Arbonne story to come on this journey with us. It is a trip that could change your life.
