“Do not stop dreaming until your shooting star lands in the palm of your hand.”
My Arbonne journey began in November of 2005 when my best friend and sponsor, Missie Speyrer, called to talk about some great products she discovered, and the possibility of us having a future in business together. I felt I did not have the time or money for this endeavor. After a lengthy conversation, I signed up as a Consultant and placed an order. I was a little excited, but did not believe this opportunity would work for me.
When would I have time to start something new? I was employed as a full-time paralegal, and my husband is a police officer who works long hours. I also try to keep up with my three beautiful sons: Collin, 15, Dylan, 13 and Landon, 6.
I found myself thinking, what if? I wondered, could my dreams come true? I would lie in bed imagining that I could be home with my kids, spend more time with my husband and not have to fear him not coming home one day from being injured in the line of duty. Would it be possible for my children’s father to be home more often? Could I bring my mother home, so she could enjoy life? She is very special to us and we were granted a second chance, since she is a cancer survivor.
The best part is that I have found the answer in Arbonne. My goal was to be home with my children, fall in love with the products, share the gift with others, and have the potential to earn an extra source of income. We took off as a team and by the end of January of 2006, I went into qualification for Area and in February of 2006, I finished as an Area Manager and went into qualification for RVP. Wow, was I flying by the seat of my pants!
During the next few months, I was working my tail off with the help of my great team. I was blessed to attend NTC 2006 St. Louis. Little did I know what was in store for me when I arrived back home. The very next day I went off to work as usual, and then my life took a drastic turn. I arrived at my office and I discovered that I had been laid off. All of my personal belongings were thrown in boxes and no one could really give me a straight answer. I immediately called ERVPs, Becky Mechler and Marika Mury for support. I was numb and in shock. As that day went by, I received two interesting phone calls from ENVP Jeanne Sterner and NVP Karen Steele, congratulating me. I would be pleasantly surprised by what the near future had in store for me. Exactly one week later, in April of 2006, I became an RVP.
This truly has been a journey for me, with its ups and downs. I am ready to capture the hearts of others, share the gift and serve as many people as I can. I am willing to work harder than I have ever worked in my life to see each member of my team realize their dreams. I have been blessed with an amazing Arbonne family and I want to thank you all for helping me reach my goal of RVP. To this day, it still does not feel real.
