SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Successful people have successful habits.”

A year-and-a-half ago, I entered a new stage in my life when my
youngest child began first grade. I had been a stay-at-home mom for 12 years, raising our five children and had a very fulfilling and complete life caring for my family. I received my bachelor’s degree and worked in the corporate world for a few years before my husband and I started our family, but I always wanted to be at home to raise my children. I could not think of anything that would bring me greater joy than being able to have the biggest impact possible on my children’s lives.

Little did I know that when my youngest began first grade, I would desire to do something else. About this time, I attended an Arbonne Presentation with my mom where I was introduced to the company and realized how much I needed the Prolief Natural Balancing Cream. It absolutely changed my life — I was hooked. At this point, I began to get interested in the business and thought Arbonne might be the answer.

The next month, I signed up and jumped in with both feet. My journey has been about learning patience and enjoying each step along the way. From the day I signed up, I wanted to be an NVP and did not really want to wait to get there. I found people who wanted to do the business right away and felt like I was assembling my dream team. My problem was, after I assembled them, we did not move at the pace I wanted us to. I grew impatient and did not enjoy the process. When I plant seeds, I stare at them every day until I get so frustrated at the lack of growth that I quit watering them and then they dry up and never produce anything. I was beginning to do the same thing with my business.

My husband, Jayme, and then RVP Julie Lackner, both encouraged me to be patient and give it some time. This was definitely the hardest part for me. I did the work and I wanted to see results quickly, and I mean quickly — as in yesterday. I have learned that I am not in control as much as I think I am. You never know what lies in your future. As usual, God’s plans are always better than mine. I love my business now because I have learned to treasure each Presentation, appointment, one-on-one, phone call, lesson, setback, accomplishment, no show and zero sales Presentation; whatever comes my way, I know there is a purpose for it. I have learned to enjoy each stage along the journey.

We all know this business is not something you do by yourself. To my number one fan, recruiter and husband, Jayme: You encouraged me from the beginning and never wavered in your belief of the business or me. I thank God for blessing our children and me with you as our anchor. I apologize for making fun of your interest in network marketing many years ago. Who knew?

To my oldest daughter, Bailey: You are a beautiful girl, and I am so proud of who you are. I love my huge sign in the garage that says, “Mom’s Mercedes-Benz goes right here.” To my oldest son, Cody: You are such a blessing. Thanks for arguing with your friends that, “A Mercedes-Benz is the best.” Who cares what they think, right? To my middle son, Dalton: You rock! Your love for God and life is contagious and such a blessing. To my youngest son, Kade: You make me feel like the best mom in the world and are always so forgiving of my shortcomings. To my baby girl, Megan: I am so blessed by you. I have no doubt you will grow up to be a super NVP. You love Arbonne as much as I do! I love each of you so much, and am so thankful God chose me to be your mom. What a blessed woman I am.

To my mom, Jean Corley and cousin, Ambra: Thank you for being my number one cheerleaders. I can always count on you to celebrate with me. Ambra Lee, I cannot wait to launch your business this month. There is no one else on earth I would rather share this amazing journey with.

To NVP Julie Lackner: How can I ever thank you enough for everything you have done to help me with my business? You have been available to me through every emotion I felt. Your leadership amazes me. To ENVP Rachel Sinclair: You have been my bridge to home. I love being able to spend time with you when I am in Oklahoma, and I am so blessed by your constant leadership and guidance. To my sponsor, EAM Lanette Bohlken: I am blessed to have you on this journey with me.

To my team, AMs Lorena Renfro and Theresa Reimer: Lorena, you have become one of my closest friends and I am amazed at your desire to become the best you can be. Your journey is a joy to watch. Thank you, Theresa, for your consistent efforts to grow your business and for your strong commitment. AM Monica Swann, you are such a blessing to me. I have not known you for long, but I do know when you set your mind to something, you will accomplish it. AM-in-qualification Carmel Sandberg, you encourage everyone around you; my life is so much richer because of you.

To DM Angela Martin: You can accomplish anything you want to — just go for it! To DM Sherie Caldwell: I am so blessed by your desire to be the best you can be and never give up. To DM Shelly Hanson: I love having you for a friend, and I cannot wait to see where your Arbonne journey takes you. To DM Stacey Heater-Divine: Boy, am I thankful my husband has good connections! I have no doubt you will go all the way to the top. To DM Christi Mock: God has great things in store for you. I know you can do it. To DMs, Jenelle Johnson, Mariska Buzzard, Naomi Forman, Angie Cahoon and Sheri Johnson and my sister-in-law, Consultant Paula Mantovani: You all have what it takes. See you at the top.

I am so blessed and thankful for my life, and my wonderful family and amazing friends. All things really are possible with God.
