It was that one moment in time when the right word, thought or action could have changed the direction of my life forever. How thankful and blessed I am that someone was watching over me and guided me in the right direction. We all have had those moments in life where we think we finally “get it.” January 15, 2005, was the exact day that I allowed my life to change, when I let this seemingly gut-wrenching idea that Arbonne could actually be it, overtake my mind, body and spirit. In Arbonne, these are called “ah-ha” moments. At the time, I just did not know it.
I had already fallen in love with the NutriMinC® RE9 anti-aging skin care line before I went to my sponsor, Shannon Decker’s, business launch. This is where I tell everyone that I got skin care educated and was introduced to the amazing Arbonne opportunity. Like many others, I came home that night and found myself unable to sleep. My wheels were spinning and going so fast that I almost felt sick. I finally began to calm down by convincing myself this was not for real, that it was way too good to be true and I thought I must have misunderstood something. Being the ultimate pessimist, I even called Shannon and asked her if all that I was being told that night at her launch was true. I was bound and determined to prove there was something up with this Arbonne thing, so I would have a reason not to be a part of it.
Still, something kept pushing me to look more into it, so I did. After talking with my husband about Arbonne for many hours, he finally said to me, “Lori, I can tell that you want to do this, so just do it. If you find out something later that was not true, then deal with it then, worry about it when there is something to worry about.” He knows me so well. After that, I signed up on the one-year plan and decided I was going for it. I spent the first few months really selling the products because I believed and loved them. At the same time, I was looking for a flaw in the business because I was not sold on it, yet. All that I had to go on was what people were telling me and that was not good enough for me. When someone would ask me about the business, I would tell them about it from a secondhand point of view without owning any of the information I gave.
It was not until I read the book, The Gift, by Shad Helmstetter, that I finally realized what I had to offer people. This opportunity was not meant just for me; it was meant for everyone I came in contact with. I realized that it was greedy to withhold Arbonne information from anyone, because they, too, could use this amazing gift. As I started to open my mouth, which is not one of my weaknesses, I began to see other people’s lives changing right before me. It became like an addiction. I could hardly wait for the next person to share Arbonne with and see how it transformed their lives. Because if you let it, Arbonne will be a gift to you in ways that you could never imagine.
Arbonne is real! So my advice to all of you thinking about this for yourselves is in that moment, when you have that one thought, let it be the right one. Embrace the opportunity … I am so glad I did!
