I have had a lot of wild rides in my day. Some rides I am still paying for physically, but none have been any wilder than my ride with Arbonne. My wife, NVP Karla Driskill, started “playing” with Arbonne in September of 2003. However, when my brother and sister-in-law, RVP Jerry Nichols and ENVP Rachele Nichols, developed a business plan in January of 2004, my wife and I decided to actively pursue the Arbonne business. Several factors played into our decision. I would only consider a business with a stable background and superior products.
There are individuals who are highly successful in their chosen field of endeavor because of their work ethic, integrity and giftedness — Jerry Nichols is one of those individuals. I have observed how his wise decisions and integrity have contributed to his enormous success in the financial planning field. When he educated me about the Arbonne opportunity, I was immediately sold. After I tried the men’s skin care line, I threw out every product in our home that could be replaced with the Arbonne products.
I also recognized a business with Arbonne would allow me to continue being involved in the lives of people. After being in full-time collegiate ministry for 21 years, I was looking for an opportunity to expand the scope of my life. I made the decision to resign from my current ministerial position because I realized Arbonne opened the door for me to have a tremendous platform to continue being involved in people’s lives.
During my time in ministry, my personal motto to serve people developed: To listen to their needs, and then attempt to meet those needs spiritually, emotionally and physically. Arbonne not only provided an opportunity for me to remain in contact with people on a personal basis, but it is very apparent the individuals I have met in this company have similar personal credos.
With Arbonne as my new occupation, my goal is to continue to meet the needs of people. As a cowboy and minister, my heart is still for people, and Arbonne allows me the luxury of blending all my passions and talents in a way that is both satisfying and fulfilling.
While life plans involve much more than individual, monetary gain, I feel this is the first time in my life I am being compensated well for my time and effort. By sharing the benefits of an Arbonne business with men and women, I am able to eliminate the stereotype many men may have of this being just a “makeup company.” My success strategy has been to meet with people one-on-one and present the facts about this company and these products. I tell men they owe it to themselves and their families to at least take a look at this remarkable company. As a result, my business grew at a rapid pace because Arbonne truly is the right company, at the right time, with the right products and the right compensation plan.
One of my favorite movies is about the days of the open range when there were no fences to inhibit the cowboy and his grazing herd. Arbonne has provided me with the same unlimited opportunity for success. Furthermore, the underlying theme of the movie was that good can overcome evil. Similarly, Arbonne allows you to surround yourself with a great company, wonderful people and the vehicle to overcome personal adversity.
I certainly would not have achieved this promotion without my loving, beautiful wife, Karla: You are simply bearing out what I have always known. You are a focused, diligent worker, loving mother and a far greater wife than I could have ever imagined.
To my children, Tyler, Alyse, Laurel and Lane: Thank you. You have remained stellar in the midst of our frantic work pace. To Jerry and Rachele Nichols: Thank you for loving and supporting our family before the terms were ever defined. To Paul Nichols: Thank you, also. You have encouraged an encourager with your constant words of support.
And finally, to my unbelievable team: Thank you. You have never hesitated to work and do everything that is asked of you. You each have the drive and passion to succeed and I am committed to helping you each blaze your own trail of success.
