“Discover the dream of your life, in order to design the life of your dreams.”
The first time I heard the word “Arbonne” was 2003. The products were becoming popular in my hometown, and I had many people around me beginning to make a switch to Arbonne products. For 12 years, I had been faithful to another product line and consequently, I was uninterested in learning about the Arbonne difference. I dismissed anyone who approached me. Finally, three months later, I tried a couple of products at a friend’s house and I noticed a dramatic difference in just a single application. My dry skin actually felt different — soft and revitalized. I was hooked. I became a Consultant right away, not only to support my sister-in-law who had started her business, but also to spread the word about the amazing Arbonne difference.
My true journey in Arbonne started in September 2004. I had earned my teaching credential by age 22 and I began a career in elementary education at age 23. Because of my passion and drive, I have succeeded in all of my endeavors. Happy with my work and the direction my profession was headed, I was quite content to pursue a career in education. But that changed last September. After watching my sponsor and sister-in-law, ERVP Kathi Cameron, build a successful business, I decided to take the opportunity that Arbonne had to offer: A unique opportunity that allowed me to promote products I deeply believed in. I have learned a great deal about myself as an educator and in the classroom, but the things I have learned about my abilities this past year are invaluable and have changed me completely.
As I look back, I spent most of my 20s in an unhealthy state: Overweight, unhappy, anxious and diagnosed with thyroid cancer at 29. I allowed these issues to govern my feelings about myself and what my life was like. Other than the birth of my two boys, it was a decade wasted mostly on negative feelings. I knew that I wanted changes but I had difficulty striving for them. In my early 30s, I started making choices to improve myself physically and emotionally. I began to attend church regularly and I discovered how experiences and faith have made me into who I am. That is when Arbonne’s opportunity was presented to me … at the right time, when my desire to build myself back up to strength hit its zenith.
With the support and guidance of my sponsor, I jumped in, not only with both feet, but with heart and mind, as well. Activity is what started the momentum in my business, but it was my first business builders who developed my passion for sharing Arbonne. Getting a new Consultant started is rewarding to me because it allows my educational background in teaching to surface. In the beginning, I rarely shared the Arbonne opportunity. As my team grew and I honed my leadership skills, I finally and truly believed in what Arbonne could offer everyone. Consequently, I became a person who was no longer embarrassed to share my success with the business. That is when my mindset changed.
I learned to evaluate what I wanted for my family and I knew that nothing would stop me. I also dared to dream about how I wanted Arbonne to change my life and the way I viewed myself. It had been so long since I had dared to dream. Now I know that whatever changes I want in my life, I can choose to make them happen. Sadly, it is so easy to sit back and let life happen around us. Choosing a change for the better gives us hope to make life what we want.
And I chose Arbonne. Despite the business of sharing products and building a team, there is more that Arbonne has to offer. It is about personal growth and becoming a better person through our own success. The interaction and relationships I have with people will leave me forever changed for the better. The beauty of Arbonne’s products may only be “skin deep,” but the opportunity of a changed life is what truly makes the difference. And the difference for me was dramatic.
To my ultimate Why, my husband and DM, Kenny Eggert: You are the biggest blessing in my life. You support me, cheer me on and love me. I could not have done this without you. To my “two beautiful boys,” Martin and Nolan: The joy the two of you bring to my life can never be replaced. God could not have been kinder to me as a mother. I am proud of who you already are.
To my sponsor, ERVP Kathi Cameron: We have had a friendship since we were teenagers. Now we are business partners. Thank you for always being there and for answering all of my phone calls. Your support was the key to my success.
To my team I wholeheartedly believe in: My first business builders, my mom and AM Brenda Bingaman. I love you and admire you without Arbonne. You have always believed in me and now I can return the favor. AM Heather Olson, your infectious excitement always keeps me going. I love having another thing in common with you and another reason to talk on the phone. Thank you to AM Karen Osterland, who decided to go for what she wanted. Thank you to DMs, Stephanie Smallie, Nathan Olson, Jan Zinsmeyer, Gabe Castellanos, Maria Perez, Laura Mejia, Francisca Cortez, Michele Livingston, Carol Royal and my sister, Jennifer Doyel. And thank you to my faithful Consultants, who have been supportive from the beginning, Kassie Chambers, Candace Roznovsky, Shamra Meek and Marilyn Thompson.
I have enjoyed getting to know each of you through Arbonne. I feel blessed that you all were a part of my journey and the discovery of my dreams. My prayer and hope is for you to discover your dream and to decide to make it happen.
