SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Have faith and focus on serving others to help achieve their goals through action and prayer.”

Do you know what plans you have for life? Do you know what you want? Can you take a plunge into something new? These were questions facing me as I looked for a change. It takes faith to step into a new field. Fear can sometimes become an obstacle. It can also become a motivator. Fear is not only about failure … it is also about success. Now, I look at fear as a gift and face it with faith knowing that I can succeed.

I received the gift of Arbonne from my sweet sister-in-law, and now ERVP, Dawnel Newby in 1998. Then in September of 2001, she asked me to sign up again as a Consultant. I lost my first identification number because I did not understand this gift that I had in my possession. I became a wholesale buyer and had no aspirations of being “away” from my family in the evenings. Now, I am living proof of short-term sacrifice and long-term gain.

My husband and I received a copy of ERVP Dawnel Newby’s override check from Arbonne in the spring of 2002. She made more than I did teaching for 13 years. I had to find out how to do that. After attending a C.A.T.S. training and listening to NVP Sonja Peach in June of 2002, I began my business the next month with samples of the Arbonne Sea Salt Scrub and Hand Cream at a booth in my hometown of Lindsay, Oklahoma. A friend approached me and I was in business. In no time at all, Dawnel called me to say, “You made District Manager.” I had no idea what that meant, but it felt great. We completed District in two months and went right into Area qualification. We finished the last day of the month in November of 2002. It was a whirlwind of only five months. Arbonne then asked ERVP Dawnel Newby, RVP Lisa Hughes and I to train at NTC for “Consultant to District and Beyond” because our team grew so fast. I continued to teach and work Arbonne part time throughout that school year. By March, I was telling my husband that I could do this full time and accomplish so much more. He said, “Resign.” I did and I have never looked back. I took a step of faith knowing that this time I would be teaching adults about wellness and how to create the lifestyle they choose.

The leadership in this company is second to none. To Founder Petter Mørck: Thank you for giving us the opportunity to achieve our dreams. To President Rita Davenport: Your spirit is amazing and you definitely know how to have fun. Thank you for your calls. To Sr. VP Product Development & Marketing, Candee Keefe: I enjoy being with you and thank you for being a friend. Your knowledge is astounding. To Executive Vice President Stian Mørck: Thank you for your leadership. To the Home Office staff: Thank you for everything you do.

The most incredible people come into your life through Arbonne. I am thankful for that, and I know I am a better person because of each of the lives that have touched mine. By working together, we are where we are today. I am so thankful for each person on my team. To AM Lori Schillereff: I am proud of you sweet friend. God truly blessed my business the day you walked by our Arbonne booth at the job fair. You compliment our team with business knowledge and style. To Gennie Richardson: You are the first person and friend who I sponsored. I am so thankful that you joined our team. To EDM Tina Bockhaus: Now do you think I am crazy? You are very special to my family. I am proud to call you my friend. Girls, your commitment to this business will bring you success. To DM Sandy Newby: You are the best aunt a girl can have. You helped start the momentum on this part of the journey. To District Managers and those in qualification, Marte Davis, Vicki Hestand, Courtney Hestand, Jana Fairbanks, Crystal Cory, Michelle Ohion-Muniz, Leigh-Ann Tamaye, Leslie Barr, Kemberlee Annis, Lisa Rosenberg, Stephanie Holland and Shelley Monts: A special thanks for your hard work and support. You are each awesome and I am grateful. Area is just one step away.

To my incredible sponsor, ERVP Dawnel Newby: Thank you for being my constant source of motivation, encouragement, inspiration and knowledge of how-to lead others. You are my number cruncher and my friend. The gift you have shared with me is truly an amazing ride. Arbonne is a relationship-building business and it is an honor to know you better now than we ever could have. I am so glad you married my brother, Andy, because our families are going to have fun together for the rest of our lives. You have a heart of gold and I love you.

To ENVP Neta Irwin and NVP Sonja Peach: Thank you for the vision of how I could do so much more for others and change their lives by sharing Arbonne with them. Your visions carried me when mine was not large enough. You are both awesome women who are very special to me. I am forever grateful for you.

To ENVP Deanna Herrin: Thank you for the heartfelt offering of the same privileges and trainings of your Consultants to our team. To my accountability partner, prayer partner and friend, Anne Decker: Thank you.

To my mom and dad: Thank you for supporting me in this new adventure and for being the best wholesale buyers a girl can have. You have always told me that I can do anything I set my mind to … I love you. To my boys, Brandon and Ryon: Thank you for being the number one reason I do this business. I know you need me now more than ever at 16 and 11 years old. I love you.

Saving the best for last, to my husband, Tommy: You are my best friend and partner. Through everything, you have been my energy and hope. Thank you for believing in me even when I was scared to step out in faith. Your support has pushed me more and more.

There have been many lessons to learn the past two years. The only way we learn is by taking action and by making mistakes. Listen to your sponsor and upline; learn from them. I was an Area Manager for two years. We had good months and we had great months. Everything changed when I made a conscious decision to treat this opportunity as a business, and offer it to others. I share this gift with each person I meet because everyone needs Arbonne. Write your goals in ink. Then take yourself out of the equations and wonderful things will happen. As you focus on the goals of others, you will reach your own. Look, think and act like an NVP and you will become one. Practice daily and do your best because each day matters. Arbonne is about serving others, sharing with others and supporting others. The best part is watching this wonderful plan unfold for your team.
