“To truly become number one, you must constantly strive to surpass yourself, and not the competition.”
Your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” When Vicki Kincaid asked me to host an Arbonne Presentation for her last January, I had no idea what a wonderful opportunity I was given to walk through. I immediately said that I would host the Presentation and then could not believe that I had actually said, “Yes.” I began preparing myself for this gift and started walking.
I signed up to sell Arbonne products before hosting that Presentation. I did not know how I was going to have time to build a business, but I trusted that Arbonne was in my life for a reason. Being a wife, mother of three, and a fifth grade elementary school teacher left me little spare time. I had no idea where I was going to fit selling Swiss skin care products into my life. I remember writing down in my journal that I was going to work Arbonne two nights a week. At that time, I had never heard of “six for success” and did not realize that doing two Presentations a week was going to be the key to my success.
I reached DM in two months and began to search for a team. The first weekend in March, I traveled to do a Presentation in Wichita, Kansas. It was at that Presentation that my business changed. I sponsored my first Ace, Dana Barrientos. Before I got home to Oklahoma, Dana had called me and told me she had sent out over 100 invitations for her business launch the next weekend. Thanks to her help, I went into qualification that month for AM.
While attending NTC in Dallas, I finished qualification for Area. I began my quest to return to NTC as an RVP. Surrounded by so many successful people at NTC, I realized these people were living their dreams. I knew if I could spread my passion for Arbonne, I could reach this goal.
In just 11 months, we promoted to Region. Everyone dreams of earning a white Mercedes-Benz for Christmas, and on New Year’s Eve, we finished. I turned 31 just nine days later — what a way to start 2005. My Why is growing stronger every day. I want my family to be debt free by the end of 2005. I also want my children to see me setting goals and building a successful business. I want them to dream bigger than I ever could.
To Dru, Daton and Dalten: Thank you for being the most wonderful gifts that God could bring to me. Thanks for understanding, having patience and for giving me the pennies from your piggy banks so I could finish Region. I love you all.
We are promoting as Stacee and Derek Fix because my husband is the secret to my success. He is my motivator, my recruiter and my best friend. Thank you, Derek, for helping me through the long days and nights, and for becoming the best dad in the world. I could never ask for a better business partner. I love you and give you credit for Dana and Michelle.
To my family, friends and Clients: Your support has allowed me to make this dream come true. Thanks for believing in me, hosting Presentations, watching my children and for the countless prayers. To my parents: Thank you for allowing me to go for this dream. I hope someday to pay you back for all of the encouragement. I love all of you.
To ERVP Heather Slankard, soon-to-be-NVP, Jennifer Jerry and my sponsor, Vicki Kincaid: You have all helped me get to Region. Vickie, thanks for bringing Arbonne into my life. You will never know how grateful I am to you. Heather, thanks for painting this picture for me. Your determination has made this real. Jennifer, thank you for showing me this mission is possible.
This step would not have happened without my AMs, Dana Barrientos and Michelle Buck. You both are definitely “sponsoring up.” Our friendship means more to me than any business. I know that you will lead your teams to Region in no time. Dana, thanks for all of your hard work and for always trusting me. Your positive approach to life will take you to the top. Michelle, you inspire me every day with your faith and love. I am so glad to have you on this team. Thank you for bringing strength to our team. Go for Region and do not look back.
To my DMs Kim Bowman, Angie Whomble, Kim Demaree, Jessica Bond, Stacey Wheeler, Kristi Landwehr, Heather Cooper, Kelley Schuckman, Ali O’Connor, Amy Snyder, Erin Reedy, Tonya Womack, Nicole Waples, April Wegener and Lori Beard; DMs-in-qualification Jennifer Smith and Shelley Reed; and my Consultants and preferred Clients: Allow yourselves to dream big and make this business happen for you. You all deserve the best.
I would like to thank Founder Petter Mørck for the Arbonne vision. To President Rita Davenport: You make it real for me. I hope to inspire people like you do someday. To Executive Vice President Stian Mørck, Sr. VP Product Development & Marketing, Candace Keefe and the Home Office staff: Thank you for making Arbonne what it is today.
Our Region is named Fixed Forever because that is what Arbonne can do for your life. Nothing in life is too broken to be fixed. Our motto is: To truly become number one, you must constantly strive to surpass yourself, and not the competition. The only competition in this business is you. Do not base your success on others … just make it happen. Let your eyes look directly ahead. Let your gaze be “Fixed” straight in front of you.
