What a blessing Arbonne has been in my life. More than 11 years ago when I was in medical school, training to become a physician assistant, I never dreamed that I would someday be involved with network marketing. I have discovered that God has bigger and better plans for our lives than we know! I am now a Regional Vice President with Arbonne and I work from home, balancing business and family in a way that I never could have before in a full-time job. It was the answer to my prayers.
A couple of years ago, after the birth of our first child, Brett, my priorities changed. I desired to be home with our son. My heart ached on the days when I had to go to work and leave my child in the hands of someone else. I felt that I should be the one to raise my children and watch them reach their milestones in life! My husband, Mark, and I began to pray that we would find something for me to do on a part-time basis where I could be home more. What could I find to earn the money that we were used to and still be home more often? Many people told me that only in my dreams could I find a job like I have with Arbonne. Well, if I am dreaming, do not wake me up!
We never considered looking into network marketing, because we had concluded that those types of businesses do not work. Then, just when things seemed impossible, our prayers were answered. I met ENVP Cecilia Stoll at church and she gradually introduced me to Arbonne. I fell in love with the products and my journey began. Once I saw what Arbonne could do for our family, I was determined to do whatever it took to be home with my two kids (Brett is now 3 years old and Carly is 3 months old), even if it meant being home less in the beginning. There was no time to waste.
I joined Arbonne and for the first time in my life I decided not to “re-invent the wheel,” especially since the plan had already been laid out for us by the VPs who were working the business. Why make the same mistakes? Do what works from day one. I went to every training I possibly could and I worked my business a little every day. I made a few phone calls between patient visits and on my lunch hour. While my kids were in the bath, I would sit in the bathroom and make some calls.
With a full-time job, two kids and a husband, there was no time to procrastinate. It was not easy at times, but I could see beyond the difficulties and into the future. I knew that some day I would be at home with my kids! I explained to our oldest child why mommy was doing Arbonne, and that was the best thing that I could have done. It meant that I was now accountable to him and I could never let him down. To see the tears in his eyes and to hear him tell me “Congratulations” was the biggest reward of all. I am now working part time as a physician assistant and I am home every afternoon with our two kids. Was it worth it? Yes! Yes! Yes! Would I do it again? You bet!
