I have always been just three things: Pastor’s wife, mother and artist. Painting in my home studio, wearing slippers on a rainy day … what could be better than that? Totally in love with art, it was something I was completely passionate about and had contentedly made a modest living from for the past 17 years. But there was a much larger dream in my heart, and that was to help women earn extra income by working from home. I prayed and thought of it quite often, imagining that this dream would come to pass through my art. Over the years that vision was only realized in bits and pieces, and my entrepreneurial spirit was in a constant state of expectation. I felt like I was on the edge of a million-dollar idea! I certainly had no clue it would come in the form of Arbonne.
In February 2007, my best friend, Pam Thompson and I accepted an e-mail invitation to an Arbonne Presentation. We knew little except that it was Swiss formulated and botanically based, and because we were avid label readers we were somewhat intrigued. My budget was tight and I planned to simply buy a lip pencil in support of the Hostess, Krista Meadows. When ERVP Janelle Sabolick shared the phenomenal entrepreneurial opportunity, Pam and I could hardly sit still. In the middle of the Presentation we met in the bathroom, “high-fiving” and crying, unable to control our excitement! We instantly knew this was a divine appointment for us and our other best friends, Dana Regules and Audrey Gould — we affectionately call ourselves “The Square.” Pam and I dove in without hesitation, and after gentle persuading, “The Square” was all in and my sweet sister, Kim Cavender, was on board as well. My husband, Roy is an Associate Pastor at our church, and as an unselfish expression of honor, my friends chose to put me at the top of the team. This simple act of love swiftly changed my world, and in just 105 days I became a Regional Vice President! Four short months after joining Arbonne, my monthly paycheck was nearly more than my husband and I had ever earned combined and our beautiful white Mercedes-Benz is the first new car my humble husband has ever owned. The ministry truly is a wonderful life with countless rewards, however we have not been able to make provisions for retirement. With myself approaching 50, Roy, 60 and our son, Israel, just 11, our lack of future financial security was an ever-present reality. I could never have imagined that I would be able to impact my family’s finances in such an incredible way!
Our company’s founder, Petter Mørck said, “When you make women millionaires, you make the world a better place.” Wow! The best that I, the artist, had hoped for was to help women earn a few hundred dollars a month, but when God chose Arbonne as the tool to fulfill my vision, He had something far greater in mind. Through success as an Independent Consultant and Regional Vice President, I am empowered to accomplish that and much, much more. The possibilities astound me.

Whether your goal is to earn enough money for new shoes and groceries, or enough to change the world, you’ll never find another opportunity like Arbonne. Here’s a tip that my team and I have learned: The power of your business is in its customer based foundation. Your income will be determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them. An NVP once said “if you’re looking only for business builders rather than customers, you are stepping over dollars to pick up pennies.” You’ll be well on your way when you make it your goal to build a foundation of 100 Arbonne addicts that you personally service. It is amazing how many business builders began as consumers. Your aces may already be right under your nose! To ensure your success put this great quote into practice: “Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the people you can, for as long as you can”. Now that’s even better than wearing slippers to work on a rainy day!
