I am so humbled and amazed by the incredible people I can work with every day. What other job allows you to work with such supportive and genuinely caring people? This is a company that builds people up and helps them bond together as a team.
My story begins back in 1999 when my friend and sponsor, NVP Jill Brown, told me to use the Arbonne Baby Care products to help clear my son’s eczema. At the time, Jill was a Consultant who purchased her products at a discount. My son’s skin showed improvement and I began to use Arbonne’s products myself. Over the next several years, I continued to use Arbonne products, although I never saw it as a business. Instead, I started a business working with a different network marketing company.
When my second child was born, my husband and I decided that I would stay home. Then, once the kids were in school, I would go back to work. My thought was that I could build an income with this other company and not return to the corporate world. I would still be home with my children and I could potentially provide an income for my family, too. I could not bear the thought of not being home with my children, so I started working on my plan B.
For three years, I worked on building this other network marketing business, as my friend Jill built her Arbonne business. We would compare notes, encourage each other and give each other ideas on how to grow our businesses. Little did I know, one day I would be doing the same thing with Jill as her business partner.
After three years of hard work, my business had not grown and we had added child number three. Finally, I decided to hang up my hat in August of 2004. Then, in came Jill to offer me the Arbonne opportunity. I already loved the products and had watched Jill’s business grow, so I decided to take a closer look. It did not take long for me to see the difference in Arbonne’s compensation plan, support and training. I was blown away and I could not wait to get started. I jumped in with both feet. I told myself that I would succeed and I wrote down my goals right away.
For those of you who have just begun your Arbonne business, you must first decide, and then prepare for the ride of your life. I can promise you one thing: This business is for real. Develop yourself personally in order to overcome your fears. Follow a proven system and do not try to reinvent the wheel; it has already been created and your sponsor will give it to you. Take it and pass it on to others. Attach yourself to the activity and not to the outcome. The results from your activities will come when you least expect them. Focus on others rather than yourself, and most importantly, never give up. I am amazed by the changes I see in my life because of this amazing gift. This gift is about owning your life and about helping others to do the same.
I have a little saying that has been helpful when trials have appeared in my life. I want to share it so you can also use it for difficult times. It goes as follows, “God did not promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow and sunshine without rain. If God brings you to it, He will also bring you through it.” I thank God for the blessings in my life.

You made it through many trials and I thank you for keeping your focus on this business and for seeing what many around you could not see. I want to thank one of my biggest supporters, my mom. Mom, you believed in me from day one and you encouraged and supported me along the entire way. You have no idea how much that has meant to me. I have always admired your love, strength and determination. What an incredible example I have to follow. I hope to one day have my children feel the same way about me, as I feel for you.
Honey, you do not think I would forget you now, do you? David, first of all, I love you. You have supported me in everything I have done and you never once let me know of any doubts or concerns you may have had about this venture. You lovingly gave of your time without ever causing me to doubt my decision. Thank you so much for your unfailing love and support.
To my children, Grayson, Brendan and Kaylin: You have become my little Arbonne cheerleaders. From the day you found out I could potentially earn a white Mercedes-Benz, you started telling everyone you came in contact with, “My mommy is going to earn a new car!” You put me on the spot and you held me accountable. How could I let you down? I love each of you with all of my heart.
