Congratulations! If you are reading my Eye on Arbonne story, Arbonne is in some way touching your life. Whether it is because you are looking for an opportunity, or unparalleled products, there is a reason you ended up here. I am so happy our paths have crossed as I share my two-year Arbonne journey with you. Something I say here just might sound like a story from your life.
Beginning in 1996, I married Nathan, my high school sweetheart and we have been together for the last 10 years. At that time, I also became a sales representative for a major pharmaceutical company. In 2002, after six years of corporate life, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to put my career on hold and stay home with our first child, Max. We had originally planned to allow Nathan the opportunity to continue in his legal career while I stayed at home to raise our children. Little did I know I would work even harder being a full-time mommy!
Then came our second child, Wyatt, who was born in November of 2003. When Wyatt was six months old, I was at a very good place in my life. Max was almost 3, we had just built a beautiful new home and my husband’s legal career was flourishing. You would think I had the perfect life. I did, but there was still a small component missing. As much as I had everything, and was so appreciative for it, I was missing the individual identity I once had. I had worked hard academically, yet declined the opportunity for advanced education and embarked on a career in sales. This allowed me to balance my career with my strong bond to my immediate family, husband and future children. Being home with the children was so rewarding, but I also wanted to continue achieving my own personal accomplishments. I did not want to sacrifice being a stay-at-home mom; I just needed an outlet. I was really looking to create the perfect balance.
My good friend of 11 years, ENVP Tory Brandt, approached me with the Arbonne opportunity in September of 2003, January of 2004, and again in May of 2004. I ignored everything she said the first two times. In fact, I did not even try the products (what a terrible friend). Then, when Tory called me after NTC in May, I was receptive. I decided this would be the perfect vehicle to add balance to my otherwise fulfilled life. Can you believe I started Arbonne as a venture to add some balance to my life and two years later became a National Vice President? That is a lot of balance! That was my Why. I wanted something that kept me connected to the outside business world, while I was at home, but that something had to be on my terms. I wanted something I could do while my kids napped or after dinner while Nathan played with the kids. After six months of being involved with the business, my Why changed. I realized the incredible business model that was at my fingertips and the financial opportunity, too. My Why changed from adding some balance, to creating a whole new sense of possible financial freedom for my family. Six months after that realization, I was a Regional Vice President and one year after that, I am a National Vice President.
I would love to share what I feel is the secret to my success. I am the type of person who sees a vision and goes for it. The vision starts with belief. If you truly believe in something, nothing will stand in your way. I decided which action steps I needed to take to make NVP happen and I walked those steps to make it happen. I never let myself get frustrated, never looked back or cried about mistakes. I set a goal based on a vision I believed in and nothing could stop me.
For those of you reading my story with your own visions and goals in mind, whether they be with Arbonne or not, I send you the best of luck in focusing on your vision and making it a reality. Set up a realistic, doable set of action steps for the next month, six months and one year. Walk those steps with a smile on your face, knowing you have the strength to succeed. Sometimes those steps are a little tougher than we thought they would be, but with the proper focus they are easily accomplished. I started qualification for National Vice President in May of 2006. I finished in two months, on July 1, 2006. This step was tougher than I had planned, due to the fact in April of 2006 I was put on strict bed rest. I was 26 weeks pregnant with our third child, and had a 4-year-old and 2-year-old at home. I was off bed rest in the middle of June, finished Nation qualification on June 30th, and had our daughter, Elle, on July 1st. How did I walk those extremely difficult steps? With perfectly clear vision, knowing exactly what my goals were. My desire and wish for each person touched by my Eye on Arbonne story is this: Find the clarity to achieve your personal and professional goals.
I have so many people to acknowledge in our Nation, as they are walking their success steps right now!

To RVP Heather Palmer: I remember the evening I first met you. I thought you were so much fun and could not stop raving about you to my husband when I came back from our Santa Cruz trip. I had no idea we would be working together. I just loved having a couple glasses of wine with you and sharing stories about our wild little boys. You are such an inspiration to watch as you create a strong Arbonne team. I wish you and your team tremendous success.

To all my family and friends: Thank you for believing in and supporting me on this venture. I am happy you are enjoying the wonderful products Arbonne has to offer.
To ENVP Tory Brandt: Thank you for introducing me to this life-changing opportunity and for representing the ideal example of a National Vice President. You are so fair, appreciative and involved with your entire team. Working (and shopping) with you is always a pleasure. I am looking forward to many more years of fun.
To my parents: Thank you for showing my family and me how much you love us each and every day, and for always believing in me and knowing I can accomplish whatever I set out to do. Your support over the years has brought me to where I am today.
To my husband and our three little boo-boos: You are the reason for all my successes. I love you all so much and do not know what I would do without each of you in my life. You are not only my Why for doing Arbonne, but my Why for everything else I have endeavored in my life.
For those of you reading my Eye on Arbonne story: Best wishes in making your dreams a reality. With true belief, anything is possible.
