I would like to begin by thanking President Rita Davenport: Rita, you are the heart and soul of the company, and as fast as we are growing, you still care for each and every one of us. When I grow up, I want to be just like you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You say, to whom much is given, much is expected. You are the living example of that.
I hope that when you read this Eye on Arbonne story, you will choose to walk into Arbonne with faith. Casting aside my fears to embrace this amazing journey was one of the best things I have done for myself. All of the doors had to close for me to see the opening of the window.
I was a successful hairdresser for 20 years and loved my job. When I had my first child, my daughter, Hannah, I was able to work at home. Then, 17 months later came my son, Blake. I was so happy to have the best husband and children, and yet, I still felt there was something missing. I wanted to be my children’s mommy full time.
My husband, Mark, worked 14-to-16-hour days to support us comfortably. The problem was we were not the kind of people who wanted to work and have someone tell us when and how; then hope we could retire with enough money squirreled away. There is too much uncertainty, and too many restrictions, with that way of life.
A friend and salon client, RVP Pam Arthur, called with the news about her new, exciting business called Arbonne. She came over with her purse bursting with sample goodies. All she had to do was apply the NutriMinC® RE9 body lotion on me and I was convinced. I loved the product and the idea of selling something I believed in. I was a Consultant for a year, since my back problems kept me bedridden. (Pam, thank you for never letting me slip through the cracks.)
Within a few months, Mark and I hit rock bottom financially. From the gloom, we saw the light through the window of Arbonne. This light reminded me of my favorite place to shop, which is a discount marketplace, and where I refer my friends. This is networking as well. In everyday life, most people do it; however, few get paid every time someone buys what he or she refers them to.
I ask you this, do you want to be proactive with your skin care? Take a good look at Arbonne’s botanically-based products. Do you want the potential to be proactive in your finances? Take a good look at Arbonne as another possible and potential stream of income. It is like having the ability to get paid to recommend products you would already be doing anyway.
Wealthy people build networks, such as television networks and other mediums. Network marketing is a form of distribution as well. I have heard that retailers spend up to a third of every sale’s dollar on marketing and advertising. Arbonne does it by word of mouth.
I want to share this opportunity with those whom cross my path, so they may reach the freedom grasped through Arbonne.
My dad fought in World War II for our freedom. He is one of the few World War II veterans who are still with us, and we can all look back and see how he and others changed the world. I believe there will be a day when I can look back and be forever grateful for Arbonne and what it will give — freedom of a different kind.
I would personally like to thank each and every person on my team. (If I name each one, I would not have enough words!) To my AMs, Danya Casey, Amelia Benvides; my DMs, and every one you know: I love you! From the top earners to the newest Consultant who purchase product at a discount: Thank you. To my upline, RVP Pam Arthur, NVP Karen Steele and ENVP Jeanne Sterner: Thank you for all of the work you did to make this easier for us.
To AM Tiffani Morales: Thank you for bringing AM-in-qualification Marika Murry, DM Charisse Viator and AM-in-qualification Susan Cormier on board.
To Founder Petter Mørck, President Rita Davenport and the Home Office staff: Thank you for your vision and love.
To my sister, MaryAnn Crossno: Thank you for holding up the mirror and teaching me to grow. Also, mom and dad: I love you so much. Thank you for all of your love, help and for teaching me to put things in order — God, husband, children and then, Arbonne.
To my sponsor and friend, RVP Pam Arthur: You have such a benevolent heart. I will be forever grateful for your friendship and plan to spend vacations with our families on the Greek Isles! Thank you for believing and waiting for me. I love you.
To my Why, Mark: I am so grateful for your support. I would not be here without you. You are the love of my life. Some day soon, we will be able to wake up in the morning, overlooking a river, and watch the fog rise off of the water. We will live happily ever after now! We dream big together. It is wonderful to have our wildest dreams become attainable.
To Hannah and Blake: The most important thing in the world for me is to be your mommy. I am looking forward, each day, to being able to choose when I work and when to be with you. I love you more than words can say. You have my heart, full of love for you both!
Last but not least, I want to thank God. You are faithful and never wavering in love and grace. Thank You for allowing me to serve and help others. I am truly thankful for this life.
