SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Embrace this opportunity and then live, love, learn and leave a legacy.”

“Live, love, learn and leave a legacy” is the Miller family creed. You will find it engraved on frames, printed on stationery and most importantly, you will find it in my heart. You might call it my outline for life.

I have lived a wonderful life, surrounded by friends and family. I have loved, particularly my dear husband, Thad and my two incredible sons, Jack and Parker. I have learned that opportunities present themselves when you are not looking for them. All that was left was the legacy part. I have to admit that last part had me stumped, in the midst of raising kids. Then along came Arbonne.

It was not a “girl meets opportunity and falls in love at first sight” experience. Nope. When I was first approached about the business, I shelved the idea immediately. Not for me, thanks.

I had postponed my career as an interior designer to spend more time with my children. In my “spare time” I was running a personalized gift business with a friend; something we did seasonally and after the kids went to bed.

Yet, no matter how many times I pushed it aside, Arbonne kept presenting itself. My husband works with Sean Jones, husband of NVP Heather Jones. As I casually observed her Arbonne success it became more and more intriguing to me. Good for you, not for me, I still thought. Then I noticed the incredible difference she was making for her family.

Before my children were born, I was a pharmaceutical representative and making good money, earning my own way. And while I value my contribution as a wife and mother, something inside of me was stirring. Nagging questions lingered — what if something happened to Thad? Could I support my children? It was important for me to know that I could. Even more than that, I wanted my sons to know their mother was capable — and that all women are.

Even so, it still shocked me when I put my toe in the water. A self-confessed soap and water girl, I was not a product hound. I had only begun to read product labels after trips to the emergency room with my highly allergic son. Tempted by the botanically-based ingredients, I tried the products and then I cautiously used them on my kids. We saw results that were just as Arbonne described: Pure, safe and beneficial. To me, it cemented my involvement. Excellent products, plus a business plan that would potentially fulfill my needs … it was the chance of a lifetime.

With belief in the product, trust in the company, and firsthand knowledge of success, I knew I could make Arbonne work for me and for my family. I could work smart, potentially making more money, with little time away from my family. Perfect, I thought.

For me, Arbonne has re-awakened feelings of workplace satisfaction: Meeting goals, both short- and long-term, managing a team and seeing results. And I would be remiss if I did not mention the absolute joy I feel in helping my teammates leave their own legacy.

Arbonne can change lives — for all of us who sell it, for our Clients who use it and for our families who benefit from it. I was resistant, but now I live it, love it and learn from it. And finally, with Arbonne, I can leave a legacy.

My thanks are many, as this has been anything but a solo journey.
