“Every day when you get up in the morning, set your mind on success.”
Wow, what an amazing journey I have been on for the past nine months. When I look back to July of 2005, the first word that comes to my mind is whirlwind. You see, I loved my life and pretty much did not need or want anything, or so I thought. I was blessed with a wonderful, hard-working husband, two beautiful, healthy little girls, a brand new house and along with my sister, co-owned a successful dance studio for the past 10 years. Sounds great, right?
This is where the whirlwind part starts. A girlfriend of mine told me about some great new skin care products she found. Truthfully, I was not really listening. I was already using what I thought was great stuff. She said, “All I want you to do is try it and tell me what you think.” What could be the harm in just trying it? The next day she came over and presented everything to me. I think my words to her were, “I am going to be a hard sell. Not only do I like what I am using, I also get it free. My hairdresser’s daughter takes dancing at my studio, so he gets free tuition and I get free hair and skin care products.” After using the NutriMinC® RE9 anti-aging skin care system for just one night, I called her the next day and said, “I am calling to eat crow, tell me how I get this stuff.” My skin had never felt so smooth in all of my life not to mention the brown spot I had acquired from my last pregnancy had faded immensely in only one day.
Within the next 24 hours I had signed up as a Consultant and was handing out NutriMinC® RE9 anti-aging skin care sample packs for my friend, to help her out. All the while, I still never dreamed I would have the time to work this “Arbonne thing” as a business. Off I went telling everyone I knew about Arbonne. When I finally picked my head up at the end of the month, I was already working the business and did not even know it. In 23 fun-filled, whirlwind days of telling people about this awesome product I acquired much in volume. I was still able to take care of the studio and most importantly, was still able to take care of my family without Arbonne taking over. I wanted more! At that point I made my investment and could not wait to see what the months ahead would hold.
On my journey to RVP, I realized that while dance will always be my passion, Arbonne is in my mind and my heart. I am a results-oriented person and it is so rewarding to see a dancer you have trained go off and “make it” as a professional. To know I had a part in that process brings tears to my eyes. Much like Arbonne, I cannot count how many times I have heard, “I love my skin now” or, “I am not embarrassed to go out in public anymore.” How incredible is it to know you have the potential to change people’s lives and actually help them feel better about themselves, physically, emotionally and financially? I have been blessed to be able to share the gift of Arbonne with many wonderful people, which is wealth beyond any monetary value.
When I think about all of the people who have helped me on this journey, I am humbled to the point of tears. To my husband, Ed: You are my strength and comfort. Words cannot express how much I appreciate your support and patience. Thank you for making me think outside the box. I love you so very much and I cannot wait to see where Arbonne will take us.
To my two precious girls, Ava and Sophia: I now know the true meaning of unconditional love. You both are gifts from God. No mother in the world could ask for a greater gift than both of you. You are my Why. I love you both, all day long.
To ERVP Becky Mechler: You had a vision for this Louisiana team and you made it happen. I know I speak for the whole team when I say you are the reason we are where we are today. The sacrifices you made for our team always makes me stop and think, “What am I doing for my team?” I am truly amazed at your ability to always bounce back when things get in the way. I feel blessed to call you my friend and I cannot wait to take this journey with you.
To ENVP Jeanne Sterner, NVP Karen Steele and ERVP Pam Arthur: Thank you all for being such wonderful leaders and giving so much of yourselves to help others. I am always inspired after hearing about your roads to success. I want what you three have!
To ERVP Tiffani Morales: Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful opportunity. I will always be grateful. We have certainly come a long way and still our journey has only just begun!
To AM Susan Cormier: Thank you for trusting me with this Arbonne thing. You jumped in with both feet, on my word alone, and never looked back. Your belief in serving others embodies the true spirit of Arbonne.
To RVP Lynette Boudreaux: Words are just not enough. You have become a wonderful friend and incredible leader. I cannot think of anyone else I would rather have by my side. I love you and I love the team we have formed. We are definitely the “dangerous duo.” Look out, Louisiana!
To my whole team: I thank each and every one of you for your hard work. I want you all to have the same success that I have had, and them some. This is a business that will challenge you beyond your capabilities, demand that you grow more than you may want to and transform your life for the better. I can promise you it is all worth it. Together we can get all of you to the top! I have the absolute best team ever.
Finally, I thank God for guiding me every step of the way.
