My journey with Arbonne began in May of 2004 when my sister, Sabrina, and I hosted an Arbonne Presentation. I was not into skin care or makeup, but I agreed to host a Presentation with her and have a fun girls’ night out. Little did I know that one single Presentation and three short hours would change my life. NVP Heather Jones blew me away by the wealth of knowledge she presented. It was not until then that I understood the importance of taking care of my skin, and recognized what a wonderful opportunity this could be for me.
Do you ever doubt yourself? Have you thought, “I cannot do this?” If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you feel just like I used to feel. When I started Arbonne, my biggest problem was I did not believe in myself. I did not think I knew enough, and was afraid I would make a mistake. I had every excuse not to do this business. After the hundredth time practicing my Presentation, my fiancé reminded me that I did not have to be perfect or know everything. He told me I should just go with what I knew. At the time, I had no choice but to do just that because my first Presentation was in an hour. He was so right! Going with what I knew, and feeling comfortable with saying, “I am unable to answer that right now, but I will find out for you tomorrow,” got me seven bookings and a $250 show! Not bad for not knowing everything. Once you realize you are not going to be perfect, you will be amazed at the successful person you become!
I had been an elementary schoolteacher for five years when I was introduced to Arbonne. In the back of my head, I knew I was looking for something more, I just did not know what. What I did know is that life is too short, and I wanted to enjoy every minute of it. I also wanted to start a family in the near future and did not want someone else raising my children. Arbonne was the “something” I was looking for. I sometimes have to pinch myself when I think about how lucky I am to have not one, but two careers where I can make a difference in someone’s life every day. Arbonne has eased my mind, knowing that when the time comes, I am going to have the freedom to stay at home with my children. Everyone should be so fortunate.
My Region’s name is Synergistic Strength because, just as our skin reaps the best results when Arbonne products are used synergistically, we reach our maximum potential when we work together as a T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More). The success I have achieved has been gained not through my accomplishments alone, but through everyone’s contributions.
Never again will I believe something is achievable “only in my wildest dreams,” because my wildest dreams have come true. It is kind of like faith — you have to believe. You never know when or where the next opportunity will present itself. The reality of this business is you do not have to be at the very top to receive the benefits — it all starts at the ground floor. And the “top” is not unreachable; in fact, with dedication and teamwork, it is quite achievable. If you are serious about your Arbonne business, it is not a question of “if” you will succeed, but “when.”
My journey with Arbonne has just begun. The experience has helped me overcome many “I cannots” and served as a catalyst for personal growth, as well. Our leaders have given us the recipe for success and it works. Stick to the system and you will be successful!
To my fiancé, Syjon: Thank you for believing in me when I did not believe in myself. You are the support system that keeps me going. I cannot thank you enough for the countless hours you dedicated to helping me fulfill my dreams. I am a better person because of you.

I am so happy we could experience this Arbonne journey together! To my 3-year-old godchild, Zoe: Princess, you will be an NVP in 15 years; you already have the Presentation perfected! To my mom and dad: Thank you for your unconditional love and support, and for teaching me the value of finishing what I start. To my grandpa: You have set an awesome example for our family. Your work ethic and values have taught me that when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
To NVP Heather Jones: You are an incredible leader and the most generous, thoughtful, kind-hearted person I know. Thank you for the countless hours you spent helping me build my business and team. To ENVPs, Sandra Tillinghast, Donna Weiser, Nancy Wilcox and Janet Elliot, and ERVPs, Chris Robinson and Dana Houston: I could not have asked for a more supportive and amazing upline. I still have your message saved from when you called to congratulate me for becoming an AM. You are truly an inspiration.
