SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Allow your faith in God to lead the way, in business and in life.”

Life as I had known it drastically changed by the end of 2001. I had been diagnosed with malignant melanoma cancer along with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and hypoglycemia. There were times that I couldn't even lift my arms up to wash my hair because of extreme fatigue.

Knowing I had to be careful of what I put on my skin because of the melanoma, I was ecstatic to find a pure, safe and beneficial skin care line. Little did I know this was only the beginning of all the positive influences that Arbonne would bring into my life. At about this time, my friend Patty Danler had called and told me that Dr. John Lee, a pioneer of natural progesterone studies, was speaking in Plano, TX. Because the subject was of particular interest to me given my health situation, I went to hear him. When I learned that women who are estrogen dominant are 10 times more likely to have malignancies such as melanoma, I cried. He offered solutions to address and provide relief from these devastating diseases, starting with specific progesterone creams available in the market. Although I had tried other progesterone creams without much success, I decided to follow Dr. Lee’s recommendation and try Arbonne’s Natural Balancing Cream, PhytoProlief.

Within three months of introducing the Natural Balancing Cream into my system, I began to feel better. My fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and hot flashes had all stopped. This was the miracle I had prayed for and knew God would deliver. I just never imagined it would be through a company as unassuming as Arbonne. Somewhere along my road to recovery, my husband best expressed what Arbonne has meant not only to me but to my entire family when he said, “You mean after all you’ve been through in a year and a half, after all the doctor bills, a $30 bottle of cream has brought my wife back?”

Needless to say, I signed up as a wholesale Consultant to get the Natural Balancing Cream at an even better price. It was never my intention to work the business for the simple reason that I didn’t even have time to keep up with my family affairs much less business affairs. But when the checks started rolling in, my husband encouraged me to keep talking about the products I loved and he would take care of the paperwork. Leave it to family to know all your strengths and weaknesses. My dad once commented about me, “If you could make money talking on the phone, you’d be rich, Wendy!” All I have to say in response is, “You called it, daddy!”

Of course, my time in Arbonne hasn’t been without its trials. In fact, I almost didn’t go to the Area Manager Challenge in January of 2003 because I had to overcome one of my deepest fears in order to do so. The event was to be held at Arbonne President Rita Davenport’s home in Phoenix, AZ. Coming from Texas, I knew the only way to get there in a timely fashion was to fly; but I was deathly afraid of flying, especially by myself. Although ERVP Stasia Trivison and my husband Bill kept reminding me that if I wanted to grow my business, I had to start attending important training events and meetings, their encouragement did little to ease my fear of flying. As I started down the concourse toward the plane, I had tears streaming down my cheeks. Even though I had made a prayer CD to keep my mind focused on uplifting and comforting thoughts, you could say I wasn’t exactly prepared to face my biggest phobia that day. In spite of myself, I made it to Phoenix in one piece. Stasia was waiting at the airport for me to disembark, certain that the wheelchair coming off the plane first was going to have me in it. To her immense relief, I walked off the plane of my own volition. As soon as she saw that I was alright, she squealed with delight, “I am so proud of you, you did it!” Then she got on her cell phone to Bill to let him know I had made it safe and sound. Thank you for always being there. Thanks to Arbonne for giving me a reason to step out of my comfort zone and confront my fears.

Stasia, I believe God sent you to me. Thank you for your leadership, love and coaching. You have touched thousands of lives. Sweet Euphiazene, who reminded me to always put God first, family second and my business third. Thank you, Kelly, for introducing me to Arbonne. I love you and will see you at the top. Shelly, you are such a wonderful teacher. I thank you for investing so much of your precious time to teach us about the products. I also want to give a big thank you to Rita for her “leap of faith” speech. Rita, your encouraging phone calls motivated me to stay the course and keep reaching for my next goal. And your “how long do you want to take to have this RVP baby” brought me to a reality—you are Arbonne’s greatest blessing.

I need to let my awesome team know how much I appreciate them all. Especially, Area Manager Wendi Fallis—you go girl, you are incredible, and her DMs Ali Polarolo, Sara Pritchett and Sandy Cave. Thanks to my DMs Paulette Lemond, Barbara Reynolds, Christi Maher, Jane Lee and my organizing genius Sherri Neeley. Thanks also to Drs. Elvina and Beau Williams for your powerful prayers. Without all of you, I could not have achieved my goal of RVP. I love you all and want you to know that God has blessed me with each and every one of you.

Behind my success and happiness is the love and support of family. To my mom and dad: Thank you so much for believing in me and for your faithful prayers over Arbonne. Thanks Daddy for your step of faith sermon which kept me going during my second month in qualification.

Most importantly, I honestly could not have come this far without my incredible husband and special gift from God, Bill. You are the most wonderful man I have ever known. Your love, devotion and prayers have been my driving factors in our Arbonne success. Courtney: Thank you for delivering product and helping me with all my errands. This is one time I’m thankful for having a teenager with a car. Josh: Thank you for all the times you unloaded product, helped me in my office and shared the business with others. Christy: Thank you for telling every teacher in your school about Arbonne and sharing where mineral oil really comes from with your science teacher.

My Arbonne journey back to good health led to an amazing journey of self-improvement, personal growth and a life-restoring mission to help those who have suffered as I have. The greatest gifts you’ll ever receive come when you put your greatest faith in God to meet every need you have. Through Him, you will be blessed with wealth of health, happiness and success!
