“Make wise choices today, because those choices will generate hope for a better tomorrow.”
Sometimes in life you go looking for an opportunity, and sometimes it comes looking for you.
My story begins with my husband’s job transfer to Edmond, Oklahoma, in July 2003. At the time, we had a new baby and an 8-year-old daughter, and had just experienced a difficult time leaving our family and friends behind in Houston. I was not happy about the move and was scared of the unknown. We trusted that God had a plan and started looking for the blessings in our situation.
My husband began to grow restless with his job and wanted to find a way out. We considered the option of having me go back to teaching to take some of the financial pressure off of him. That meant we would have to get by on little money, get used to no time flexibility and put our children in daycare. We wanted something better.
I had heard of Arbonne, but never attended a Presentation, or tried the products, until my neighbor invited me over. I went to be nice and discovered that I loved the products. It did not take much convincing to have me sign up, because I really wanted to purchase my products at the Consultant discount. After hearing about the business and the income potential that Arbonne offered, I was impressed. But, it took some praying to help me conclude that this was what I should do. I am not a salesperson, or businessperson. In my life, I have had two main pre-occupations: First as a teacher and then as a stay-at-home mom. I never pictured myself doing this and I was absolutely scared to death. What if it did not work for me? I hoped it could work. Anyone with hope and determination can succeed at this business. It all comes down to a matter of “choosing” to put in the work, and “deciding” to be successful.
Finally, I decided! On January 1, 2005, I jumped in with both feet and my whole heart. The possibilities of what this business could be were enough to get me started. The system and support were what I needed to teach me how to succeed. I just took it one day at a time and one step at a time.
In my third month of doing the Arbonne business, I promoted to Area Manager and have never looked back. Quitting was never an option. I had my mind made up. Along the way, there were times when I was discouraged and disappointed, but I kept moving forward and became more determined. I got out of my comfort zone and grew. I made sacrifices and did what my upline told me to do, even when I did not want to. I knew that to be where she was, I needed to do what she did! I followed the system and grew my business. I have learned how to set goals for myself and then lay out a path to achieve them. Goals not written down are just dreams. For most of my life, I never set goals because I did not want to feel like a failure for not accomplishing them. Life is too short not to live every day to the fullest and be the best you can be.
I have found that this business is for anyone who desires the potential for more financial freedom and freedom to choose how they spend their day! I have met some incredible people and have been blessed with an amazing team of men and women who have been a pleasure to get to know. You cannot get to this level in Arbonne without helping others start to achieve their goals, and I love that! With Arbonne, you are in business for yourself, but you are not in business by yourself.

You are my sunshine and your smiles fill my heart. To my sweet family: Thank you for just being you, and for being the best Clients anyone could ask for!
I am so thankful that God orchestrated the events that brought me to this place in my life. Because of this, I have grown personally and have accomplished something I am really proud of. But more than that, I have been able to help others do it, too; and that feels good at the end of the day. The lesson I learned in Arbonne is that hope for a better tomorrow will come when we make wise choices today.
