SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Follow the leader, encourage your team and follow up with your prospects.”

I was not looking for Arbonne, Arbonne found me. My sister, EDM Sandy McCoy, introduced me to the products in February of 2005. I never thought I would do a direct sales business and rarely went to Presentations for others. I am not a salesperson, I do not like to bother people and I did not know much about skin care and makeup. So, how could Arbonne be for me?

My family and I have been in and out of the dermatologist’s office for my acne and sun damage from playing tennis, and my children also suffered from eczema. I invested a lot of time and money trying to find a solution for my skin, as well as my children’s. I did not have any success with retail products for my face and the children’s lotions needed to be applied at least twice a day. Sandy had just been introduced to the Arbonne products in December of 2004, by one of her childhood friends, ERVP Lynda Thies. Sandy’s skin felt fabulous and the best part about the skin care line was that she no longer took medication for her skin condition. Her children have more severe eczema than ours do and with the combination of the Arbonne Baby Care line and Rejuvenating Cream, their skin started to improve. I thought, “Why not give these Arbonne products a try?” Once my Arbonne package arrived and I had used the products for two days, I could tell a difference. My skin was clearer, softer, more vibrant and I was glowing. My children’s skin was moist and stayed moist throughout the day with only one application! I was amazed with the results. I joined my sister at a training only four days after trying the products and my life was forever changed.

I had been tutoring people in math and teaching an online Algebra class. Both jobs allowed me the flexibility to be home with the children and enjoy a passion of mine: Helping and teaching others. However, the financial rewards were not worth the time and effort that I was putting into the job. If I did start something new, I knew it would need to be flexible, as well as financially make sense, for our family. I now have both!

I have learned so much along the way, some of which I hope can help you, too. I have learned to enjoy the journey. There will be ups and downs, because life brings us both, but the difference is how we choose to react and respond. The ups and downs are vital for personal and professional growth. In fact, the valleys, pitfalls, potholes and all disappointments can be looked at as great blessings and gifts to us. We must have endurance, perseverance, knowledge, faith and strength, in order to get out of the valley and back up on the mountain. This process creates character, and this character brings you success. Choose to use your time in the low valleys as a chance to learn, grow and improve yourself and your business.

I now wonder why I questioned the Arbonne opportunity. My family and I have gained so much from Arbonne: It provides phenomenal products for our family; we feel and look healthier; I have met amazing friends and business partners; I am uplifted daily; I can help others change their lives; it provides hope and dreams for many and I can contribute to our family in ways that I never dreamed of before. Arbonne is such a perfect fit. I am very blessed to have found this opportunity and to have a sister who always looks after me.

To President Rita Davenport, Sr. VP Product Development & Field Events, Candace Keefe, Chairman & CEO Bob Henry and everyone at the Home Office: Your leadership, ethics and commitment to excellence are why I am a part of this amazing company. Your eyes speak volumes. Thank you for blessing our family with this wonderful product and for changing the lives of many. And thank you for all the tools we have to teach us about the business and to help us grow personally.

I am so appreciative to EDM Sandy McCoy, ERVP Lynda Thies, ENVP Nancy Wilcox, as well as my upline for paving the path, ENVP Sandra Tillinghast, ENVP Donna Weiser, ENVP Janet Elliot, and all the other leaders and trainers in this company. I have learned a lot from all of you along my journey, including: How to set goals, write them down and share them with your sponsor; follow the system, keep it simple, be coachable, and have the desire to learn and better yourself personally and professionally. I have also learned to plug into Arbonne University, read books, listen to conference calls and attend trainings and conferences.

Thank you to my sister, EDM Sandy McCoy, for introducing Arbonne to me. You have always been there for me and I am so thrilled we can grow our businesses together, and have matching Mercedes-Benzes.

Thank you to ERVP Lynda Thies for flying down from Indianapolis because you believed in me enough to help me start my business in Tampa. I am grateful for the countless hours on the phone, patience with my endless questions, and your words of wisdom, humor and faith that made this journey not only possible, but a blast!

Thank you to all of the wonderful people I have met on my journey. Thank you to my amazing Clients, Consultants and business builders. To the team: Hello, superstars. You rock! You know I think the world of each and every one of you. You all are such wonderful people, friends and incredible business partners. I sponsored up and am so proud of you all. I would not have reached RVP if it were not for all of you helping me get there. To AM Cathleen Crobons, DM Christine Beale, DM Maria Godbold, DM Jennifer Harper, DM Debbie Lovett, DM Nigara Mouradkhodjaeva and DM Angela Schmook: Thank you for allowing me the honor of being your leader. I admire you and am blessed to be part of a phenomenal team. Blessings to you!

Thank you to my family, in-laws and friends. There were two weeks left in my qualification for RVP when I had an emergency appendectomy. A special thank you goes to my mom, who flew down from Indianapolis when I had surgery and allowed me to rest, heal and finish RVP-qualification. You gave me the strength to finish strong. I would not be here without your help.

To my husband, Greg: I will always remember Greg and how he said it right from the beginning, “You can do this,” and, “Let’s go for it.” We prayed, we planned on how we would do things and he has been my rock every step of the way. He is the best husband, friend, dad and Christian man I know. I am blessed every day to have such a supportive family. He teaches the boys to encourage me when I go out for meetings and they cheer me on and say, “Good luck, mom; go have fun, you will do great!” Greg creates a loving and kind atmosphere in our home and is the best role model our two boys could ever have. Thank you for your unconditional love and for being the backbone of my success.

To my two amazing and wonderful sons, Gregory, 6 and Kamron, 4: Thank you for all of your help; we did it! We worked hard and got the goal of having the white Mercedes-Benz with DVD screens on the head rests, and a vacation to the “Magic Kingdom!” You are my stars; you have the sparkle of life in your eyes and you can do anything you want to in life, so go for it. Remember our motto: I can, I will, I believe! I love you both so much!

Thank You to God for blessing our lives far greater than we would have ever imagined, and for helping us give others hope that all things are possible.
