All I ever wanted was to be a stay-at-home mom. For financial reasons, however, I was forced to work outside the home. For 11 years, I worked for an airline making reservations over the phone. I worked every weekend and holiday, feeling chained to my desk by a phone cord. Because I was paid too well to even think that I could replace my salary doing something else, I always felt bound to my job. I was miserable! I was finally able to leave the airline when my family and I moved from New York to Ohio. For the next three years, I drove a school bus, so my schedule would be the same as my children. When I became pregnant with my third child, I knew this was my last chance to be a full-time mom. I took the leap and quit driving the school bus. I considered myself permanently retired from the workforce.
A few years later, I received a skin care sample in the mail from my longtime friend, ERVP Sandra Sena. I was not looking for a new skin care line and certainly not a job opportunity, yet I ended up with both. I do not have a college degree and mistakenly believed that I would never reach the kind of career success that I had seen powerful women in business achieve. I had accepted that my life would never change. I stopped dreaming those big dreams of traveling the world, giving my children the life they deserved and having enough to be generous with others. But, 18 months after starting my Arbonne business, I am here to tell you that, potentially, you can have anything you want!
