“It is not what you know, but what you are willing to learn.”
I once read that champions can see the invisible. In art school that was a given, but we were taught that even if you think your eyes are open, open them wider because you are missing something that you are not ready to see yet. That something might even be as plain as day, right in front of you.
Freedom is important; the kind of freedom that comes from making a decision and having the power to see things through to fruition. This has always been how I have tried to live my life: To do what I say I will do, and look back only to figure out how I could do it better next time. If it gets hard, remember to welcome the discomfort because that is growth. There are no shortcuts to anything worthwhile, so what will you tell yourself to make things happen? The only roadblock in your way is usually you.
I had first heard of Arbonne 11 months ago, from my trusted client and friend, ERVP Paige Miller. At that time, Paige was not a DM yet. I have always respected her business savvy and admired her sense of self and truth. When she mentioned the Arbonne opportunity, I was all ears, even though I was skeptical. I was not excited about trying the product though, because my extremely sensitive skin has always been a stop sign to using most products on the market; even specialty products. So why would I spend a dime on these products, let alone get excited about them? Or so I thought.
I loved the NutriMinC® RE9 anti-aging product line right away. Even what I had come to know as my normal skin condition improved immediately after I used the products. I realized that I had been putting irritants on my skin my whole adult life. When the dryness was gone in three days, and it was the middle of winter, that is when I really got excited! When a product works that well, in the middle of winter and on extremely sensitive skin, it convinced me, the biggest skeptic of all! I had already been told about the compensation plan, but a phenomenal product and an opportunity like this does not come along every day.
There is no doubt this Arbonne opportunity exists, because in less than one year, I have been able to potentially phase out of a job that was not fulfilling. I was secretly embarrassed to acknowledge that I have more passion for Arbonne than for my art. Who would have thought that someone who could not have cared less about skin care would care so much about a skin care company?
One incredible aspect of this business is that you get to partner with dynamic and courageous people from all walks of life; people who do not necessarily need the opportunity, but who see it. It makes for such a pleasurable, “I am in the right place,” kind of feeling. And my advice is this: You have to be honest with your upline, because this is a time for growth, not excuses. Remember that your upline is here, and they have your best interests in their heart, whatever your goal is.
