My name is Carly and I am an Independent Consultant with Arbonne .
Before you continue reading on how Arbonne came into my life, I want to put something into your head and I want it to fester a little. If someone were to ask you “What does your life look like five years from today”?” what would your answer be? Not tomorrow, not next week, not next month, but five years from today.
Everyone has a story to tell as to when this world class and beautiful company entered their lives. Mine started in 2015 when some force of the universe introduced me to my friend and sponsor, Brandy. I didn’t know anything about Arbonne at the time so after testing out the anti-aging skin care and learning about the nasties in the products I was using, I had started to look at the labels of products I owned and bought at regular retail stores. I wasn’t sure if the business was for me and she showed me that network marketing is a brilliant way to do business. However, still hesitant, I said no because I just wasn’t sure I could do it. But something in my heart and gut said not to be entirely closed off to this opportunity. I had been looking for a home based job over the years and somehow, this one stuck in my mind. Over the next few months, I attended a ‘Discover Arbonne’ business presentation. At this point, I had been asking questions about the company so I was, unknowingly baby stepping in, but at that time I was still saying no. To be honest, I was scared and afraid of failing. I am so thankful that Brandy was pleasantly persistent and when I attended a presentation hosted by Tabatha Debruyn, I was able to hear inspiring stories from her and a few other leaders that evening. It was in that room where I proudly stood among other guests consultants finally saying yes. In fact, I felt like a bride who said yes to the dress. I said ‘YES’ to a life with no ceiling and only dreams.
So I opened my business in September of 2015 with two feet in. And as the universe works in mysterious ways, my career with the company I was working with was slowly coming to an end. First in November of 2015, the role I was in was on a contract and I was told I would not be offered it full time when it came to a the renewal. Less than a year later, back in my previous role prior to coming to London, I wa s among about 300 people who would be laid off by this June with the roll out of an automated system. I learned in that year where I was nearly unemployed twice, that you might feel safe and secure, but you aren’t always.
For myself and my business, some build this up in a matter of months, others like me take their time. However, I chose Arbonne not only to ensure I can live my life comfortably and be my own version of a boss babe but also to ensure that I can fund myself through all of my rock climbing competitions. I have been climbing for about three years and because of Arbonne , I get to compete in Nationals in Montreal over the Victoria Day weekend. I get to represent Ontario and continue toward another dream. You will hear over various presentations that because of Arbonne we get to do something for ourselves or families. What I love is outside of something I get to do for me, I get to help and inspire others to see the endless possibilities the way they have been shown to me. Because of Arbonne, I get the opportunity to see others achieve their goals because they helped their teams achieve theirs. Arbonne isn’t just about what it will do for me and what it will do for my future team. Arbonne is about locking arms and changing the world one step at a time, one country at a time. Arbonne is about providing a safe product for our families to use. Arbonne is about showing everyone what is possible in this world when you decide to take the leap of faith. That’s what this company means to me and I’m so excited to see where it will go.
If you asked me in 2015 where I saw myself in five years , I’d say happily where I am now. And it's true, I love my simple everyday life. But there is more to life than meets the eye. So where do I see myself now in five years, 10 years and forever after saying yes to a lifetime of opportunity? Following my dreams and living freely. Helping others see their dreams become a reality. Life is an adventure and mine is just beginning. Yours can too, if you believe in a world where endless opportunities exist.
