Q: Do I have to take Arbonne Essentials products every day?
A: Some formulas deliver nutrients important for everyday healthy living: vitamins, minerals, protein, fibre, probiotics, enzymes, antioxidants and more. This being the case, we recommend using them as directed on the label to support optimal health and wellness.
Q: Why can’t I get all the nutrients I need from food?
A: The American Medical Association recommends adding dietary supplements for optimal health due to the high caloric intake that would be required in order to get all the nutrients needed for optimal daily health. Additionally, because many people have busy lifestyles, it can be difficult to eat in such a way as to ensure consumption of all of the required nutrients. Using dietary supplements can increase the intake of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, probiotics, omega-3s and many beneficial botanicals for a healthy lifestyle.
Q: What are the benefits of the plant-based protein blend (pea, rice and cranberry)?
A: Pea protein is highly absorbable and more easily digestible, and when combined with rice protein provides a full amino acid score. Additionally, the arginine content of pea protein is one of the highest of all commercially available proteins.
Q: Why is getting the daily recommended value for fibre important?
A: Fibre is essential for maintaining optimal gastrointestinal health and is beneficial for cardiovascular health. It helps support blood glucose levels already within normal range, and helps you feel full. Considering the importance of having fibre in the diet, we recommend Arbonne Essentials® Daily Fibre Boost.
Q. How much sugar does the Essentials Protein Shake Mix Meal Replacement contain?
A. The Essentials Protein Shake Mix Meal Replacement contains Cane Sugar and Brown Rice Syrup Solids. There are 15 grams of sugar per serving which is 60 calories. The sugar is added to meet the caloric requirements for a meal replacement, and they are low enough in sugar to help prevent blood-sugar level spikes and “crashes,” helping retain a healthy blood sugar level. This is especially important for those who need to avoid high-sugar products or are following a weight-management regimen.
Q. What are the benefits of consuming a high-protein product?
A. Amino acids, including some branched chain amino acids, are the basic building blocks of proteins, which help support muscle, lean muscle mass, and even bone health. The plant-based blend of pea and rice proteins is comparable to animal-based proteins, and protein can help support satiety (a feeling of fullness) which is beneficial for those on a weight management regimen. Dairy and soy proteins are considered common allergens, and soy protein can be a source of unwanted phytoestrogenic activity. Those following a vegan diet may need a high-protein product to get the necessary amount of protein, as fruits and vegetables are low in protein.
Q. Why is there an extra gram of insoluble fibre in the Chocolate Protein Shakes?
A. Insoluble fibre is inherent (naturally occurring) in cocoa powder; this being the case, it contributes an extra gram of insoluble fibre whereas there is none in the Vanilla Shake. We are required to label the amount of fibre in each product, even if the fibre is from other ingredients in the formula and not necessarily added.
Q. Can Daily Fibre Boost be added to hot liquids, foods and baked goods?
A. Daily Fibre Boost is made from heat-resistant fibre. It can be added to Arbonne Essentials Protein Shake Mix and hot foods like soups, spaghetti sauce, oatmeal and even baked goods like muffins, cupcakes and breads.
Q. What are antioxidants and ORAC values?
A. ORAC refers to “oxygen radical absorbance capacity,” and higher ORAC values generally imply stronger antioxidant capabilities. When free radicals take electrons, antioxidants “donate” an electron to stabilize free radicals to help reduce the possibility of cell damage and oxidation.
Q. Are there any concerns with taking a high Daily Value for the vitamins and minerals?
A. 100% Daily Value is the minimum amount of a nutrient that should be taken. Most vitamins and minerals are harmless in amounts that exceed the recommended Daily Value. If you have any questions about the right amount for you, check with your medical professional.
Q. How many Fit Chews can I have per day?
A. Recommended usage is up to 6 per day, in any flavour combination.
Q. Is the palm kernel oil in Fit Chews grown sustainably?
A. Yes, it is derived from a sustainable source. Arbonne is concerned with the use of unsustainably grown palm ingredients and the impact that such harvesting can have on ecosystems and even local inhabitants. This being the case, Arbonne only chooses ingredients from palm grown sustainably.
Q. Do Energy Fizz Sticks contain caffeine and if so, how much?
A. Yes, they contain 53 mg of caffeine derived from botanical sources and less than 2 g of sugar per stick pack. A 12 oz. (355 ml) can of soda typically contains over 50 mg of caffeine but can also contain in excess of 25 g of sugar. In addition, popular energy drinks can be spiked with hundreds of milligrams of synthetic caffeine, the cause of some concern regarding these drinks.
Q. How do the current Energy Fizz Sticks compare to the discontinued Energy Fizz Tabs?
A. Both formulas are nearly the same. Both deliver the same energy boosting vitamins and botanicals, like riboflavin, niacin, vitamins B6 and B12, taurine, guarana, green tea, ginseng, and rhodiola. Both products also deliver a modest and equal amount of caffeine. One difference is that the Energy Fizz Sticks do not contain leucine; while there was some benefit for its use, the ingredient had originally been used in manufacturing, but is not needed for production of the Energy Fizz Sticks. Additionally, the rhodiola used in the Energy Fizz Sticks is now standardized to 10% rosavins. This is beneficial as it now delivers a specified amount of the targeted extract per use. Finally, the Fizz Tabs could take up to 15 minutes to dissolve, while the current formula dissolves nearly instantly.
