Frequently Asked Questions
- Q. What is the difference between mineral and chemical sunscreens?
- A. Both sunscreens use a different mechanism for protecting the skin. Mineral sunscreens are UV filters such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, commonly referred to as “physical,” which protect from and reflect UVA/UVB rays. Chemical sunscreens like oxybenzone, avobenzone, and octocrylene are also UV filters, most of which are designed to absorb and scatter UVA/UVB rays.
- Q. Who can use this product?
- A. The formula was primarily developed for babies and children. However, teenagers and adults with sensitive skin may also benefit from using this sunscreen. For children under 6 months of age, ask a doctor.
- Q. How are the ABC products tested for efficacy?
- A. Each product undergoes a battery of testing to validate it is safe, gentle and effective. These tests include, but are not limited to, independent lab tests, and usage and clinical studies.
- Q. Why do you use plastic tubes to package these products?
- A. We use recyclable and food grade LDPE and PP plastic to package our products, ensuring safe and easy use. The plastic materials are shatterproof and squeezable. The tubes also come with a convenient flip top cap, which make them ideal for use during bath time, in the shower, by the pool or at the beach.
